Default Job Opportunities

Hello:
This question is open to all Yale SOM students and alumni on the forums here but I am particularly interested in hearing about international students' experiences. I know that the last year was tough for both internships and full time offers, but how did you manage to find an internship/job and did Yale SOM's career services and alumni network help in this process? I am also interested in hearing about overseas placement after the graduation.

Thanks,
Venu

Hi,

My name is Shobhan and I am an international student. I interned in investment banking and would be returning to it full time. To answer your question, the Yale CDO is an excellent resource for international students to find an internship and full time job - I went through the CDO for my internship. Also, the Yale SOM alumni are extremely helpful in finding an internship. You will find that most of the alumni will give you any help they can to help you succeed both in summer and full-time. Many of my classmates interned in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Latin America and most of them secured their internships with help from the CDO and/or the alumni.

I hope that helps to answer your question. Good luck with the applications!

Best,
