Default Reapplicant essays

Hi,
I will be a re-applicant this fall. In reviewing the personal statement essay questions, I noticed that a couple are the same from last year.

Given that essay #5 is required for re-applicants, for the remaining essay, should I re-use an essay that I wrote for last year or would it be to my advantage to pick a new topic.

In other words, will the admissions committee be reviewing my essays from the previous application as well as current application?

Your previous application will be included with your new application, so I would encourage you to pick a new essay topic for this year.

Good luck and let us know if you have any additional questions.

That's great news.

I suppose then its also advantageous to submit new letters of recommendation or should I have my previous recommenders re-submit everything?

I would get new recommendations, or, ask your previous recommenders to write about any new projects since your last application.
