I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a general management club at SOM. Since a lot of career activities happen in the clubs rather than through the Career Center at many schools, is there any advice that current students would have for prospectives interested in pursuing general management while at Yale?

This is not a direct answer to your question, but I do know that DuPont and Pepsi were both recruiting for their leadership development programs at Yale SOM this year (as they do every year).

Usually students pursuing general management tend to have an industry focus (media, technology, retail, energy, finance, healthcare etc.). We have student groups for most industries and in addition to the companies that Paul mentioned I know that companies like Medtronic, ING, GE, and a few others also recruited SOM students for their rotational programs.
