Hello, I'm looking into working on a trade desk (doesn't matter which desk, equities, fixed income, etc). What are the opportunities available through SOM? How many people look to go into S&T? How many of those individuals obtain a poisiton? Any help would be great. Thanks.

All of the major banks recruit on campus at SOM. Most of the focus is on investment banking, but some of the banks recruit for sales and trading as well. Last year s&t students interned at places such as Citi and Credit Suisse, and a lot of SOMers worked in capital markets over the summer.

I don't have any hard numbers for you, but you might try contacting the sales and trading club at salestrading@mail.som.yale.edu. They should be able to provide you with more concrete answers.
