Could a few first- and second-year students expand a bit on student-professor relations? I would expect that this would be an area of advantage at Yale SOM with a smaller class size compared to larger b-schools.

My relationship with the faculty has been terrific, and I definitely think the school's small size and tight-knit community contribute to this. For example, yesterday I stopped by and visited with two of my professors for a total of an hour and a half, traded 11 email messages with other faculty members, and went to dinner with another one of my professors.
I've found faculty members at SOM to be very accessible and responsive, and they really do care about the quality of their teaching. SOM also does a fantastic job of ensuring that students will be able to enroll in their preferred classes - this semester, 99.9% of students' class bids were successful.
In short, I doubt that most other business schools can match the level of faculty interaction that we have at SOM. This is definitely a competitive advantage for the school.
