Hi

I am applying for Full time MBA, Fall 2007 Round 2 and it will be great someone could address the following questions listed below for which I am not able to find a definite answer from the website:

1. How strong does the school has connections with Management Consulting companies? Do the companies give projects/sponsor assignments at school during the curriculum?

2. Are there any consultancy programs/courses where students get to hone their skills in real world (except the summer intern.)

3. How much community work do we actually do, while on/off campus?

Thanks,
Manish

Hi Manish

Sirf 3 questions? ;-)

1. Very strong. All the top management consulting firms and many smaller boutique firms have on campus presentations / coffee chats, etc. McKinsey, BCG, Booz Allen were some of the firms that hired interns from the class of 2007. Over 40 students (out of a class of little over 200) received full time offers from consulting firms.

2. Yes. The SOM Outreach program. http://students.som.yale.edu/sigs/outreach/default.htm

3. Quite a lot. Recently the Community Service Club organized a “food fight” to collect food for the poor in New Haven and just before leaving for the winter break we had a warm clothes collection drive.

Do contact the consulting club, SOM outreach and community service club ambassadors for more. http://mba.yale.edu/MBA/students/talk.shtml
