Hi,
I have a question regarding the curriculum and spe******ations offered at Yale.

Q1. After visiting the Yale curriculum, its mentioned that there is very strong focus on the core curriculum? And in year 2 we can choose from the electives offered. After looking at the electives, I see that Yale offers Strategy & Internet/E-Commerce. My interest and reasons for doing an MBA is to finally switch to Strategy but related to IT as I want to leverage on my technical background. Could some tell me if I could combine Strategy and Internet/E-commerce to leverage the two, as IT without business knowledge and vice versa according to me go hand in hand?

I'm not sure I understand your last sentence, so let me know if I answered your question.

The strategy classes cover that topic broadly, and what you learn is general enough to be applicable to many industries, including tech/IT. The E-commerce classes focus specifically on issues that are pertinent in the realm of doing business online and use cases from that sector.

Hi Pauli,
Let me elaborate a bit more. Okay I would like to focus my MBA studies in strategy. Okay my interests are primarily in learning to make key decisions regarding the strategy of a company and being responsible for the strategy. I am from a software industry, I would still like to continue my career here but be more involved in strategic decisions helping the company formulate there strategies, this doesnt mean that I am only interested in Software firms, but I would might explore that, I cannot effectively comment on other firms as I dont have knowledge about what they do. But I believe that strategy is of core and fundamentals for any organisation to survive. So its the core every firm will have one. So could let me know if the strategy spe******ation at yale is the right one and what is thought there and what other options I have.

With Regards
