View Full Version : A reapplicant's anxiety

I had applied to the SOM last year. Consequently I had been granted an offer to interview by the admission committee. Although the interview went well, I finally did not get an admission offer.

However, I have reapplied to the SOM in the R1 cycle of admissions. I believe I have presented my case quite strongly this year. I would like to know if the admission committee seriously considers reapplicants for admissions.

I know I should have posted this question on the 'Questions for admissions staff' forum. But I did not do so as I knew what the obvious reply would be :-)

I am sure, you as current students may have a fair idea if any reapplicant has ever been offered admissions. Kindly help!

Thanks n Regards
Ravi

Can I expect a reply for my previous post?

Hi Ravi,

I don't know that students would be able to answer this question as they probably don't talk about whether or not they reapplied to SOM. From an admissions standpoint, we do accept some reapplicants every year. This depends on how much they strengthened their application compared with the previous year, as well as the competitiveness of the applicant pool.
