Yale is my dreaming school. I have planed to attend its MBA since three years ago. I think at this time, I am ready to apply.

As I am sitting down for writing MBA essays and researching the school's information, I start to wonder whether the MBA program is fit for me?

Let me brief my background and long and short term goals.

I have three years lab management experience and the other three years marketing experience ( current PM) at a Top Pharmaceutical company. I had a medicine degree and a master degree in biotechnology. My long term goal is to setup a hospital management consulting company in my country, the inspiration of which is due to the worse medical service resulting from current mismanagement in care providers. In preparation, i wish that Yale's education can help me place a job in a leading consulting company in short term. I would like to specify my job content at the healthcare industry.

Obviously, the management consulting is my favorite career concentration. However, I will focus on healthcare field. Therefore, I wonder when Admission Officers of SOM receive my application, they may think I choose the wrong program, instead of MPH in public health.

Finally, I am grateful of this BBS sicne it allows me to contact directly with school admission office.

Thank you in advance.

Dear DreamingYALE,

Thank you very much for your post. We get quite a number of applicants who are interetsed in healthcare -- in fact, we have a healthcare club here, which you can find out about at http://students.som.yale.edu/clubs/healthcare/ -- so you should not be concerned that we will think you have chosen the wrong program. SOM also has an Executive MBA for Healthcare Executives (http://mba.yale.edu/mba-e/default.asp), so we are familiar with applicants who want to pursue a career in healthcare. The key is whether you can articulate your reasons for wanting an MBA and what you will do with it.

I hope this information is helpful.

Best,

Bruno

I just tried the links and they seem to be working. Is there any issue with your browser or a pop-up blocker?

Thanks,

Perhaps, your computer is at the Yale intranet.

All my friends help me confim it by clicking the links at the banner within page http://mba.yale.edu/mba-e/default.asp . None of them could open the links.

So I believe it has error on that webpage. Could you please have one more try through internet or ask technical staff have a check?

Thanks

Are you clicking on the banner instead of the drop-down menu? I've asked our web team to take a look.

Best,

they are the menus below the banner. such as ACADEMIC PROGRAM, STUDENTS, and so on.

Those are just banner headings, so if you scroll over them with your mouse, a drop-down menu will appear. The items in the drop-down menu are linked, but the headings are not. Does this help?

Thanks,
