Hi,

I am sachin from India, currently working in switzerland. I am applying to Yale School of Management for Fall 2007. I would like to know, whether applying in round 2 of application affects the admission decision.

Also, I would like to know about Yale SOM Alumni network in Switzerland or India.

Regards
Sachin

It doesnt matter much, whether you apply in R1 or R2. Its a constant debate that goes on amongst all bschool applicants and the common consensus is that it doesnt affect your decision much. I was a R2 applicant and I skipped the R1 deadline as I felt that I wasnt prepared enough in October. If you have a strong profile and are ready to apply, then by all means , apply now. If you feel that you need some more time, then R2 is probably better.

SOM has a great alumni presence in India and all of them are very helpful. If you are selected to interview, you will mostly be interviewed by an alum. You can contact the local alumni association(details on the website) to hear about their experiences at SOM.
