Hi.
I was wondering if there is a criterion on the salary of the applicants, for example, that if he doesn't make a certain salary at a certain age, Yale would not admit him/her? What if he has been working in the Civil Service in a underdeveloped country, wouldn't he be gravely affected by the criterion?
Also would age be an issue for a career in investment banking?
Next question: I graduated from a place where there is no GPA. Worst still, it has been 8 years sinec I graduated and the school apparently has not kept the archive of the marks dated then but I have my original transcripts and I don't think I should send them. Can I make a copy and send the copies over?
I passed a number of actuarial exams (SOA) recently to prove that I don't have problems with the Statistics and Probability, which I didn't do well in my undergraduate days. Would the admission committee look favorably at the actuarial exams passes and ignore the weakness in the undergraduate maths grades?
I have a GMAT verb score of 35. That was the lower end of the 80% range for verb. The Math part was ok. How else should I improve my application?
