I guess I speak for many ambitious prospective students, well at least the ones who have had some history of messing up due to their own negligence and immaturity all through their Bachelor's. I, for one, am able to relate to this crowd, since I have had a very rough time through my bachelor's - some due to negligence and some due to the unforeseen circumstances. Nevertheless, I persevered through. I consider myself very ambitious, and believe I have what it takes to make it. I have been a good student but my grades into the earlier years at my University have not be up to par. I am capable and can prove that I am worth it, if given the opportunity.
I would like to know if the Yale SOM considers someone like me even if I do not have the greatest Academic record to show-off? I have a decent leadership record, have been active all through the University and know what I want to do with my life. I am an international student, who might not be able to afford the high-end tuition costs at Yale, since I come from a below-average income household. I am working at the moment in the Middle East and intend to take the GMAT and apply for 2008.
I would like to seek your advice, as to what I should do from here on to increase my chances to get accepted at Yale SOM. I know this is a very generic question, but I guess I am looking for guidance.
Thank you for your time.
