Under work expereince, it says to 'List your current (or most recent) full-time employment.'. Do I just need to enter my current employer, no employment history?

Please advise. Thx

Hi Vijju,

A few applicants have had the same question by phone, so thanks for posting it on this thread. Please list your most recent employment in the “work experience” section of the application. You will also be asked to upload your resume, which should detail full-time work history.

Thanks,

mvitali

Hi,

I had a follow up question regarding the resume. Since the application only asks us to list most current employer, do you want our full work history on the resume? By this I mean should we include:

1. Post collegiate work experience
2. Work experience during school (internships for example)
3. Current outside activities
4. Relevant/important college activities
5. Languages, technical skills, and other misc?

The reason I ask is, this may cause the resume to be quite lengthy, but I don't see any other areas for us to reflect the full picture to the Adcom. Are multi-page resumes looked down upon?

Thanks!

Hi dreamer1979,

It’s fine if your resume is two pages. I would encourage you to emphasize the most relevant aspects of your work experience if you find that your resume is much longer. You also have the opportunity to include your extracurricular activities and outside interests in the optional essay.

Thanks,
mvitali

Thank you. I am just curious to know if 2 page resume is common in Yale SOM admission process.

vijju,

Yes, we see a fair number of resumes that are two pages long.

Hi, I was wondering if there is a specific format to follow for the CV to be submitted for the online application.

Is the format any different from a CV for a job application?

Thank you.

Hi Jerry,

The online application will give you the option to upload your resume, so you're able to preserve the format. We do not require the resume to be in any specific format. It should be the same format that you would submit for a job application.
