How will the interview component be addressed for a re-applicant? Will the original interview be used, or can the re-applicant initiate a new interview request?

Thanks.

YXHL,

When did you apply originally? We do not interview reapplicants again if they have applied within the last few years. Keep in mind that we only save applications for three years; anything beyond that and the applicant has to submit an entire new application, including interview (if invited).

I had the same question. I applied last year and plan on reapplying this year. I am really nervous about not inteviewing again. I feel like my interview was a very weak part of my application. It was my first and only (Yale was the only school I applied to, the only school I wanted to attend) b-school interview and ended up being a big learning experience for me. I'd like to have a second chance at this if possible? Is there just no way?

Thanks-
Bella

Hi Bella and YXHL,

If you are re-applying within the past 3 years we will use your initial interview. In general, we do not interview reapplicants again if we still have the first interview on record.

However, you can explain in your re-applicant essay the progress you have made and the steps you've taken since the last time you've applied to improve your candidacy and we will contact you if we need additional information or think that another interview would be helpful.

MCB & Bella,

I applied for the Class of 2008 in R2 and was wait-listed. I will re-apply for the Class of 2009 this fall.

Thanks for your help!
