I am currently a college senior and I am thinking about applying to Yale's school of management this fall. I know some schools are becoming more open to accepting canidates without any full time work experience and I was wondering if Yale accepts any applicants directly from undergraduate school. I was also wondering if the admission criteria is more stringent for college seniors; I have a 740 GMAT and 3.9 GPA and I also have experience as a resident assistant, but I am unsure about how this compares to full time work experience.

Dear Guest:
Thank you for your email. We do occasionally accept applicants directly from undergrad, but it is very much the exception rather than the rule. Because applicants coming directly from college do not have significant full-time work experience, we do look for other aspects of their applicaiton to be correspondingly higher to compensate. GPA and GMAT are two such aspects. We would not consider RA experience to be a full-time work equivalent -- it would be more along the lines of an activity. Certainly, to the extent you feel otherwise (or have other work experience in your background), please tell us in your application.
I hope this helps. Best of luck.
