I have applied to the YALE SOM for the 2006 intake and got dinged. I have already got feedback from admission committee member. The message says that I did not have any obvious weakness in my last application and most probably I have could not make it because of higher number of highly qualified applicants this year. YALE is my top choice. Hence, I would again reapply this year. I believe I have significantly improved on my candidacy also. But at this point I have a few questions:

1) I believe I need to rewrite my whole applicatoin as a reapplicant. In that case will admission committee will also refer back to my last application for referrence / consistency in data etc?

2) Can I take fresh recommenders from the same recommender of last time application?

3) Can I be put in contact with a current student or alumni of YALE SOM?

Srikummar,

1. You do not need to submit new essays or recommendations. No new GMAT reports or transcripts are necessary unless you have retaken the test or taken any new classes. If you would like to compose new essays we will accept them as well. The admissions committee will have your prior applciation when reading your file.

2. You may choose to submit new recommendations, if they have new insight to share with the committee.

3. You can contact a student club that interests you:
